RTU and data loggers by FAST: Total control of the water supply network
05 February 2025 - SolutionsThe water network digitalization provides valuable information on the status and performance of water systems, in real time, with full autonomy and no margin for error. FAST solutions enable monitoring and control of the network, which saves water and reduces operating costs and reaction time.
FAST, a division of Pietro Fiorentini Group, has been developing technologically advanced hardware and software products and solutions for automation and process control for industry and water distribution networks.
Thanks to RTUs and data loggers, information on various parameters such as flow rates, pressure levels, temperature and other quality parameters are collected and transmitted in real time and remotely. These highly technological solutions allow operators to quickly detect anomalies, prevent potential problems and optimise system performance to effectively meet fluctuations in demand.
Aqualog Master and Aqualog AW: high connectivity RTUs dedicated to controlling and monitoring water network systems, including critical ones such as pumping stations, water treatment, pressure regulation, level and flow adjustment. They also have extensive monitoring capabilities of the connected sensors (pressure, temperature, level and quality).
Aqualog Diana and Aqualog PQ Evo: Data loggers that take care of all aspects of water network control and management, with monitoring and control of pressure, flow and levels, with great autonomy thanks to their integrated battery and low power consumption. Equipped with geolocation and synchronization with integrated GPS provide high frequency data acquisition that allows water transients monitoring, crucial in preventing water hammers.
The RTCP System (Real Time Critical Point Pressure Control) is the innovative solution to automatically and immediately adjust the Critical Point pressure according to changes in water demand. It continuously monitors the network situation and the pressure values at the critical point (CP) and acts in real time on the PRVs or pumps to minimise pressure and avoid pressure transients in the PMZ.
